Lake Kuźnickie
Lake Kuźnickie, also known as Lake Białe, is situated in the west part of Rakoniewice commune, about 12 km to the south of Nowy Tomyśl, in a valley surrounded by wooded hills. In the neighbourhod, there are two villages: Boruja and Kuźnica Zbąska.
In summer the lake is used for recreational purposes. The bathing beaches are situated on the south end of the lake (near Kuźnica Zbąska) and on its west shore, on the outskirts of the village Boruja, where there are also camping sites, holiday centres owned by different companies, and private holiday homes.
The lake has an area of 75.7 ha and a maximum depth of 13.2 m. Its water is classified in class II on the water clarity scale. Thanks to the water clarity, it is an excellent place for anglers; in terms of fishery it is a whitefish lake. The lake is surrounded mainly by pine forests, which are perfect place for hiking and cycling.

Fauna and flora
A north fragment of the lake and the adjoining forest are protected on the basis of a regulation by the Governor of Poznań Province of 1997. The area is a sanctuary of the red kite (Milvus milvus). The lake is also the habitat of 7 or 8 pairs of the great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus) and 2 pairs of the mute swan (Cygnus olor). The importance of the lake increases after the hatching season. Because of many birds (grebes, ducks, sea ducks) which live here, the lake is entered into the register of lakes which are of special importance for marsh birds and waterfowl migrating in autumn. It is classified as a "rich lake" (Kuźniak et al. 1991, Winiecki 1992). On the west shore of the lake, just beyond the border of the commune, there is the only hatching place of the extremely rare Syrian woodpecker in Greater Poland Province (Dendrocopus syriacus) (Tryjanowski 1993).
In the clear water of the lake, you can come across the rare Najas marina, a relict plant dating from the period when the glaciers withdrew from the area of Poland.
